Borno State Government is to construct 300 Housing units of different categories and sizes with facilities at Miringa Community in Biu Local Government Area of the state.
The State Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur stated this during the laying of block foundation for the construction of the housing estate on Monday.
He said both the Federal and Borno State Government have committed a lot of resources for the construction of houses in the state to solve the growing needs of shelter to the less privilege who were displaced as a result of decade long Boko Haram crisis.

Hon. Kadafur said when the project is completed it would go a long way in providing house accommodation to the people in villages around the area especially the displaced ones.
He also appealed to the site engineers to ensure that standard and specification is maintained right from the beginning up to the completion of the project.
On his part, The Commissioner incharge of the State’s Ministry for Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Engr Mustapha Gubio, said all was set for the commencement of the construction work of the 300 housing units which includes school, water facilities, health centre, shops and recreational site.
Engr Gubio also said the project would be completed in the next 100 days to 120 days.
