Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly (BOSHA), Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan has assured speedy passage of the 2024 appropriation bill presented to the State House of Assembly by Governor Babagana Zulum.
Lawan sad that the state assembly will carefully study the 2024 Budget proposal amounting to over N340 billion which was presented to the floor of the House because of the accelerated development recorded so far by the executive arm of government.
Lawan who stated this yesterday while briefing Journalists on the steps taken to ensure the budget is passed into law on or before the end of this year.
He commended Zulum for his numerous achievements in all the sectors of the state economy while acknowledging the support and cooperation of the executive arm of government over the years.
The Speaker noted that the legislative arm of government has never encountered any problem with the executive arm of government in the course of discharging its duties, stressing that, there was never a time the executive arm interfere into the affairs of the legislature neither the legislature interfered into the affairs of the executive arm of government.
He lauded the courage, dedication, commitment and hard work of the State Governor, noting that, the governors exemplary qualities motivated and promoted the support abd cooperation of the members of the state assembly, while assuring him of continuous support in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities as government of the state.
