
The solar powered borehole donated to Dagelawa village of Wakeke district by BUA cement, Sokoto.

In continuation of their Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, The BUA Cement Company has donated 10,000 litres capacity solar powered borehole to Dagelawa village of Wajeke District in Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
BUA Cement Company also donated medical consumables worth N10 million naira to 8 clinics in Wamakko local government as well.
Speaking at Dagelawa village before presenting the 15 million naira worth solar borehole, the Managing Director of BUA Cement, Engineer Yusuf Binji, said as responsible cooperate organization, they are committed to the well-being of their host communities.
Engr Binji who was represented by the Cooperate Affairs Manager of BUA, Sada Suleiman, said the solar powered borehole is unique.
“This therefore means, that Dahelawa, being the benefiting community of our solar powered borehole will continue to enjoy unhindered water supply even without electricity”.
Making the donation of N10 million naira worth drugs to clinics in Wajake, Kalambaina, Gidan Boka, Sabon Garin Alu, Arkila, Mobile Police clinic and Bakin Kusu, Sada noted that their gestures also include scholarship, provision of educational materials as well as other supports to neighboring States of Kebbi and Zamfara.
Appreciating BUA for the solar powered borehole in Dagelawa and donation of medical consumables to 8 clinics within Wamakko LGA, the Village Head (Ardon Wajeke), Alhaji Muhammadu Mailatu thanked BUA cement for all the gestures.
The Ardon Wajeke also prayed for continued harmonious mutual relationship with BUA.
On his part, The Vice Chairman of Wamakko LGA, Zubairu Muhammed Dundaye, who represented The Chairman, Hon Bello Haliru Guiwa, said BUA remained exceptional in the area of Cooperate Social Responsibility to her host communities.
