Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, said only the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has a product to sell in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State.
The governor said this while speaking at the official flagg off of the PDP campaign rally for the reelection of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state, at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
According to a statement, signed and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Saturday, by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor reminded the Edo state people of the qualities and capacity of Obaseki as he sought for their support in his reelection bid.
Gidado said that Governor Mohammed who extol Obaseki for good governance, described him as a resource person not only to his state, but Internationally.
He quoted the governor as saying: “We identify with Quality, Good Governance and that what Governor Obaseki signify. I want to tell Edo people, Obaseki is a resource person even in the Nigeria Governor’s Forum.”
“Edo people you should be proud for having Governor Obaseki as your son, a seasoned technocrat, a good player, national and global person who represented you well even within his colleagues (the Governors).
“Don’t allow this excellent quality to go, we in PDP, we have a product to sell and they don’t have any.”
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that Bauchi Governor chaired the just concluded gubernatorial primary election for PDP in Edo state.
