Eid-el-Fitri: Borno Govt. assures citizens of adequate security measures

The Acting Governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Kadafur has called on the citizens to be extra vigilance and be security conscious while going about their normal activities especially during the Eid-el-Fitri celebration in the state.

Hon. Kadafur, also appealed to the people not to be panic during the sallah’s celebration, as adequate security measures have been put in place to protect lives and prooerty in the Ssate.

In a statement issued on Wednesday his spokeman, Malam Bulama Talba, the acting governor, equally reassured the people that the Borno State’s Government is always committed to the issues of security and welfare of all the citizens.

He commended security personnel in the state for their doggedness and concerted efforts in the counter insurgency fight towards bringing lasting peace and harmony in the state.

The acting Governor, also commended the entire people of the state for been resilient and law abiding, inspite of security and economic challenges affecting the state.

He further called on the Muslim Ummah to take the advantage of this Holy Month of Ramadan Fast to continue to pray for the victory of the military troops and other security agents who are sacrificing their lives in the counter insurgency war and other crimes across the country.
