Exhibit good moral conduct, Nasarawa NYSC coordinator urges corps members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch ‘C’ stream one corps members posted to Nasarawa state have been enjoined to be exemplary in their conduct while serving at various places of their primary assignment.

The Nasarawa state Coordinator of the scheme, Abdullahi Ahmad Jimkashi, stated this at the closing ceremony of the three weeks orientation course of corps members, held at Magajin Dan Yamus permanent orientation camp Tuesday

Addressing a total of one thousand, six hundred and twenty three Batch ‘C’ corps members, Mr. Jikamshi, enjoined the corps members to perform their duties with diligence and be guided by the provisions of the NYSC Act and bye-laws as well as workplace rules and regulations to enable them succeed.

He further urged them to undertake personal and group Community Development Service (CDS) project that will uplift the living standard of the people just as he advised them to build on the skills acquired during their three weeks orientation course.

Jikamshi, reminded the corps members of the Federal government’s plan to make presentation of evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, a condition for gaining entry to government offices from first December this year, calling on them to be vaccinated to avoid been prevented into government offices.

The NYSC boss however, appealed to corps employers to always accept corps members posted to their organisation and make necessary provisions for their welfare as well as giving them a sound mentorship to enable them develop their potentials.

He thanked the Federal and state governments for their unwavering support for the scheme, the presidential steering committee on COVID-19, security agencies among other organisations that contributed for the success of the scheme and pledged to continue doing their best to compliment government’s effort towards empowering youths in the society.

Some corps members interviewed, Ikeneri Cynthia Amarachi, from Imo state and Daudu Lucky Oyarebu, from Edo state, said they have gained a lot from the orientation course and promised to utilize it positively at their various Paces of Primary Assignment (PPAs) to achieve success.
