The family alleged that the Divisional Officer, Bala Habule had failed to hand over the two arrested suspects to the Police for proper prosecution despite withdrawing the case from his office and transferring the matter to the Police.
They also alleged that Bala Habule, in connivance with other external forces, was doing everything possible to stop the suspects from being arraigned before court of justice for trial.
They however, appealed to Human Right Organisations, Amnesty International and the Yobe State Government to come to their aid and ensure that justice is served to the victim who is in a traumatic condition.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of family who did not disclose his name, said the D.O, Bala Habule had threatened to take legal action against him, “but my reaction is simple, no amount of threats will deter us from seeking justice to people especially the downtrodden ones.”
“In doing this, we are more than prepared for any threat from anybody. Already, I am in consultation with my legal representation to ensure that we respond accordingly, he said
