A recent flood disaster has wreaked havoc on the Borno State Museum Pack (Zoo), resulting in the loss of over 80% of the animals.
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that the devastating incident has also led to the escape of deadly animals, including crocodiles and snakes, which have been washed away into the surrounding communities.
The General Manager of the zoo, Hon. Ali Abatcha Don Best, has issued an urgent public notice warning citizens to be aware of the danger and take necessary precautions to avoid these animals.
Hon. Best said the zoo management is working to ensure the safety and protection of the remaining animals and humans within their jurisdiction.
He urged the public to be vigilant and take immediate action to prevent any potential harm.
This disaster has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of both humans and animals in the area. Authorities are working to mitigate the situation and prevent any further harm.
