
Governor Kefas flanked by dignitaries at the flag off of road construction projects in Wukari
Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has flagged off massive construction of roads in the state to ease transportation of farm products and encourage local farming activities in the state.
The flagg off ceremony which took place on Monday in the middle of Takum and Lisam 12 kilometre state road is to serve as the commencement of the mass construction of the roads across the state.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Kefas said with God, everything is possible, adding that God touched the hearts of the people to vote him into office. stressing that his government is in place solely to serve the people.
The governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to execute projects that directly impact the lives of citizens, noting that he takes time to plan, consult widely, and listen to the cries of the people before he embark on the project.
Kefas recalled that when he assumed office, Taraba State was deeply divided along religious and ethnic lines, warning that a divided people cannot make meaningful progress.
He stated that his primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of lives of the people and their properties, emphasizing that security remains a top priority of his administration.
“Continue praying for me, am assuming you that I will not be distracted from delivering good governance for you.
the Taraba State Commissioner for Works, Moseh Luka, in his speech noted that the Ussa–Takum road was neglected by the previous administration.
He expressed confidence that the intervention by Governor Kefas would ease the hardship faced by commuters and significantly boost economic activities in the area.
