Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026/2027 Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme, offering Nigerian students another opportunity to pursue advanced studies abroad in oil, gas and related fields.
In a public notice shared via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @officialPTDF, the Fund disclosed that the application portal officially opened on Friday, January 16, 2026.
According to PTDF, prospective applicants will have a six-week window to complete and submit their applications, as the portal is scheduled to close on Friday, February 27, 2026.
The scholarship scheme is part of PTDF’s long-standing commitment to developing indigenous human capacity for Nigeria’s petroleum and energy sector through specialised training and international exposure.
Interested candidates are advised to visit the PTDF official website: www.ptdf.gov.ng for detailed eligibility criteria, approved courses and institutions, as well as guidelines on how to apply.
PTDF urged all applicants to ensure that their submissions are accurate and completed before the deadline, noting that late applications will not be entertained.
