The KANEKALON collaboration workshop events in 2025 kicked off in Lagos on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 with X – Pression hair and the International Hairstylists & Body Therapist Association (IHSTOBAN) as the first to enjoy the partnership.
In her opening address at the workshop held at O² Event Centre, Iyana Ipaja the IHSTOBAN president, Mrs osinawo acknowledged the impact the association has had on numerous hairstylists across the country.
She informed the 300 participants on how the industry has evolved, with stylists making waves in the fashion industry through innovative ideas shared within the community.

The IHSTOBAN Community welcomed the sponsors from Kanekalon,, the partners from X-pression hair as well as consulting partners AH&B.
Other partners present at the event were Mirron Nigeria, 10×10, Local governments and other notable figures present at the workshop.
The IHSTOBAN Community leader officially kicked off the workshop, highlighting the purpose of the gathering and encouraging stylists to showcase their creativity and innovative skills.
The X-pression representative, Thelma presented a brief historical background check of the brand, and proceeded by introducing a new X-pression braid (Gem Braid) to the stylists noting its exceptional features and qualities,familiarizing the hairstylists with the newly added product.
She concluded with a question and answer session,evaluating the hairstylists understanding and providing clarification on the products benefits,ensuring they are well informed and equipped with the necessary knowledge.
On her part, 10 x10 Japanese hair brand representative Miss Gift Egeegle talked about the premium hair products, including its fiber wigs, braids, crochets, and ponytails.
She further gave a history of the brand that it was established in 2021, and is known for offering high-quality, innovative hair solutions that cater to the diverse needs and styles of customers.
The Mirron representative Miss Pamela briefly gave an overview of the brand, and proceeded by encouraging the hairstylists to familiarize themselves with the Mirron Nigeria App,facilitating effortless ordering of desired products.
Also, the Kanekalon representative Miss Miebi shared the vision and mission of the sponsors brand, highlighting its qualities and features of the number one Japanese fibers.
She provided education and tips on how to effectively communicate with their clients & on how to differentiate between a counterfeit and original products of Kanekalon.
She rounded off by inviting few hairstylists to demonstrate their skills with Kanekalon fiber, showcasing their innovative skills and they were rewarded for their exceptional performance by crafting stunning hairstyles.
Notable at the workshop event were Africa Hair & Beauty Magazine – AH&B, X – pression, Mirron Nigeria and 10 X 10.
The First Prize Winner, Fatomoye Kaosarat received the sum of 50,000, while second prize Winner Adedokun Rukayaz went home with the sum of N30,000 and the third prize Winner, Akeju Omotayo Cartered away with N20,000.
