Ths Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani has described the killing of Muhammad Ahmad, a member of the Zamfara House of Assembly as shocking.
In a statement in Kaduna, Alhaji Zailani, described the lawmaker’s death as a painful loss.
“It is shocking and painful that such a hard-working lawmaker was killed by bandits. This is, indeed, worrisome,” he said.
Recalled thatthe deceased lawmaker representing Shinkafi Constituency inthe Zamfara House of Assembly, was killed on Tuesday by bandits on his way to Kano after attending a rally to welcome Gov. Bello Matawalle to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The speaker, who is also the Chairman, Northern Speakers Forum, called on the law enforcement agencies to ensure that those behind the act are tracked down and made to face the law.
