Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has approved a comprehensive welfare package for the father of the six children and their mother who were brutally murdered in the Chiranci Dorayi area of the state, including sponsorship for Hajj and Umrah, a new house, and full government support.
The decision was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, following Governor Yusuf’s condolence visit to the grieving family.

During the visit, the governor expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and reassured the bereaved father of the state government’s commitment to standing by him in his moment of loss.
As part of efforts to rehabilitate the victim and help him rebuild his life, Governor Yusuf directed that a befitting house be provided, while also assuring that the state would take full responsibility for his welfare.
The governor, further, pledged support should the man decide to remarry, including assistance to help him restart his life with dignity.
On the pursuit of justice, Governor Yusuf ordered the Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to fast-track the prosecution of suspects already arrested in connection with the killings.
He stressed that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law, adding that he would not hesitate to sign the death warrant of any convict found guilty in the Chiranci Dorayi case.
The governor noted that the same firm stance would apply to other high-profile cases in the state, including the killers of Hanifa and the Gezawa arsonists, once the courts deliver their verdicts

. He also commended the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies for their swift and coordinated response that led to the arrest of the suspects.
In a gesture of appreciation, the bereaved father donated his personal house to the Kano State Government for the construction of an Islamiyya school to benefit the community. Governor Yusuf concluded by praying for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and to give their family and the people of Kano State the strength to endure the painful loss.
