A capsized boat

Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) has reported a tragic boat accident in Gunu village, Shiroro Local Government Area.
The accident involving a vessel carrying passengers and goods to Kwata, Zumba Market, overturned mid-river around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
NSEMA’s Director of Information and Special Duties, Dr. Ibrahim Hussaini, confirmed this in a statement on Saturday.
Dr. Hussaini said the boat operator and a few passengers were rescued, with one survivor receiving medical care at General Hospital in Kuta.
He said the exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed as search and rescue efforts continue, led by NSEMA desk officers alongside local divers and volunteers.
