Plans by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the Nasarawa State Government to get the permanent demarcation line to end encroachment are on going as the team over the week meet at Orozo, a suburb of the FCT to continue with the demarcation.

Speaking at the site of the ongoing work at the Orozo Hill’s, the leader of the team from Nasarawa State, Mr. Ibrahim Aliyu Keana who is the federal commissioner from National Boundary Commission, expressed satisfaction with the level of work done in erecting the pillars.
He called for cooperation between the two parties to enable the team complete the work on the scheduled time.
Mr. Keana who was in company of staff of Karu LG, decried the high level of ignorance by residents of Nasarawa State who feel they are living in the FCT.

He maintained that when it’s finally completed, the boundary line will define the actual origin of every citizen.
He thanked members from the National Boundary Commission and staff from the Nasarawa State Government for their unrelenting efforts in ensuring that the work is not delayed.
He requested for more security personnel and other logistics to hasten the completion of the exercise.
In his remarks, the Project supervisor from Nasarawa State Ministry for Lands and Survey, Mr. Sidi Sylvester, said the team under his watch has finished sixty pillars and thirty new ones are currently being mounted at the other side of the Orozo Hill.
Mr Sylvester, however, promised to complete the project within the specified time.
In their separate remarks,, Mr. Abdumalik Ribadu, who is the Principal Planning Officer for North Central Zone with the National Boundary Commission, Abuja and Mr.Dabai Isa, who is leading the team from the office of the Surveyor General of the Federation, both expressed confidence that the project will be achieved as expected.
They solicited for more support from the FCT and Nasarawa State Government especially in the area of more security and thanked the Minister of the FCT and Nasarawa States Governor Abdulahi Sule for the support so far given for the project.
