NDLEA raids popular VGC Estate in Lagos, discovers meth drug lab

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives have raided a building in the popular VGC Estate in Lagos State and discover amrth laboratory on a property.

The raid on the estate was carried out by anti-drug agency on Saturday following an credible intelligence.

Confirming the raid, The VGC Estate management in a memo, said NDLEA operatives have been on the trail of the occupant of the property, Mr Emeka Nzewi, since 2017.


“On Saturday, July 30, the anti-drug agency carried out a sting operation and was able to arrest the occupant and his wife”.
 

“NDLEA says the boreholes and water supply located 500 meters from the raided building have been contaminated by the waste generated from the Laboratory”.

“Therefore, VGCPORA in conjunction with NDLEA with conduct a test on water supply to properties around the K-5/A2, road 14”.

The estate management, however, reiterated its commitment in ensuring a drug free environment for residents.

“Alcohol and drugs misuse pose a threat to the health and safety of VGC and to the security of the community”.

“We request that you join hands with us to make VGC a drug free community. If you see something, say something”. The management said in the memo.
