Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has lauded the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the people oriented projects he has embarked upon for the betterment of Nigerians.
Speaking on Sunday during an interdenominational Church service at Christ Anglican Church High Level Makurrdi, organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in conjunction with the Benue State Government to mark Nigeria’s 65th independence anniversary, the Governor identified the key projects being executed in the state by the Tinubu led Government.
Governor Alia, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Sam Ode pointed out that the federal government was constructing an over head bridge at Wurukum and as well dualizing the Gboko road from Wurukum to River Mu.
The Governor informed also that the Tinubu led Government was also constructing bridges at river Buruku and Katsina Ala even as work was on going at the Ameladu Water Works in Gboko.
Governor Alia called on the Benue people to support the government of President Tinubu as according to him Nigerians were benefiting from the programmes and policies of the government revealing that the removal.of subsidy on petroleum products has brought improvement of the federal allocation to states and local governments councils.
He assured that the state government would continue to execute projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the Benue people and called on the Church to intensify prayers for the Government to succeed.
In his remarks the Vice Chairman of CAN in Benue State, Rev. Jonathan Terwase Ugbede who stood in for the Chairman, Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe appreciated all Nigerians for keeping faith with Nigeria.
The CAN Chairman acknowledged the challenges Nigeria has been facing over the years but with all these challenges Nigeria has remained an indivisible entity.
Ugbede who appreciated the Benue State Government for remaining supportive of CAN in the state assured that the Church in Benue would not relent in praying divine support for the Government of the State.
While appealing for a borehole to be drilled at the Christ Anglican Church, he also appreciated the governor for the sponsorship of the 19 states CAN Chairmen to pilgrimage and expressed the hope that the Governor would extend the same gesture to CAN members in the state.
Earlier in his message Bishop Eduka Amuta challenged christians to yield their hearts to God as grace and blessings would abound in their lives.
