Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-rufai and President Bola Tinubu
A prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Victor Ogba, has urged President Bola Tinubu to remain focused on his administration’s development agenda and ignore recent criticisms from former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
Speaking in Abuja during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, Ogba — who also leads the Movement for National Transformation (MNT) — described El-Rufai’s comments as counterproductive and politically motivated.
“Those remarks don’t serve the national interest,” Ogba stated. “They are more about old political rifts than any sincere concern for the country’s future.”
He warned that such public commentary could derail the government’s reform momentum and urged both the President and Nigerians to stay focused on progress.
“President Tinubu should not waste energy engaging in verbal battles. What the people care about are visible results, not political distractions,” Ogba emphasized.
Highlighting key strides in economic revitalization, inclusive governance, and national cohesion, the APC stalwart described Tinubu as a leader with a broad, unifying vision for Nigeria.
“The President has shown commitment to moving Nigeria forward. His ongoing reforms will speak louder than any personal attack,” he added.
Calling for nationwide solidarity, Ogba appealed to citizens to stand behind the Tinubu administration. “Now more than ever, we need unity and collective support to overcome the challenges facing our nation,” he said.
