Nigerian Army will on June 6, 2026, host a Send Forth Dinner in honour of retired generals from the 2025 and 2026 cohorts, recognising their years of service and contributions to national security.
The event, which will be hosted by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen W. Shaibu, is scheduled to hold at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre and Suites, Asokoro, Abuja, at 7:00 p.m.
The send-forth dinner is part of efforts to honour senior officers who have completed active service and acknowledge their role in the growth and development of the Nigerian Army.
The announcement drew mixed reactions on X, with some users commending the retired officers for their service, while others questioned the military’s record in tackling the country’s security challenges.
