Plateau State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) has unveiled major institutional developments including a functional website, published chapter by-laws, and commencement of its first-ever state secretariat project.
The milestones were announced at the 9th Builders’ Conference and Annual General Meeting (Tincity 2025), held at Villa Grande Hotel, Jos.
The newly launched website is expected to serve as a central platform for membership registration, professional updates, and access to resources.
The first printed by-laws of the chapter were also presented, aimed at strengthening regulatory structure and compliance within the institute.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Plateau Chapter, Bldr Adedeji Adeleye Paul, FNIOB, described the initiatives as part of efforts to modernise operations and enhance professional engagement within the building sector.
The conference witnessed the first official visit of the National President of NIOB, Bldr Kolade Daniel Abimbola, FNIOB, who commended the Plateau chapter for what he described as “a bold step toward institutional strengthening.”

Chairman of the occasion and Director General of the Joint Project Development Agency, Gombe State, Bldr Mahmood Yusif, PhD, also lauded the outgoing executive council, stating that the achievements underscored commitment to the development of the profession.

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the Plateau State Governor, Bldr Jeremiah Satmark—represented by the Special Adviser on Physical Facilities, Arch Dachollom Dahworo—commended the chapter for sustaining professional standards and innovation within the built environment sector. The General Manager of the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), Arch Hart Bankat, and other government officials were also in attendance.
A key highlight of the AGM was the election of new state officers where Bldr Grace Pam Wang, MNIOB, emerged as Chairperson-elect, becoming the first female to lead an NIOB chapter in Northern Nigeria.
