Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Luanda, Angola, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 7th AU–EU Summit.
On arrival, he was briefed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. @YusufTuggar; Amb. Aminu Nasir (Charge d’Affaires, Addis Ababa); Amb. Faith Ekwekwo (Charge d’Affaires, Brussels); Amb. Maxy Ogbede (Charge d’Affaires, Luanda); and other government officials ahead of the summit.
Over the next two days, he will join other Heads of State and Government from the African Union (AU) and the European Union (EU) to discuss shared priorities on peace and security, climate action, inclusive development, trade, digital economy, and opportunities for young people and innovators across both continents.
