No hiding place for criminal in zone 6 – AIG Sule Gomna warns

PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –

Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Six Calabar (AIG) Usman Gomna has given a riot act to criminal element in the Zone to locate elsewhere or face the full weight of the law.

The AIG also warned officers and men of Akwa Ibom State Command to be, courteous, professional, disciplined, respect human rights and security conscious in the performance of their policing duties.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nelson Okpabi disclosed this in a statement issued available to National Accord on Sunday.

According to the statement, the police boss gave the charge while on familiarization tour to Akwa Ibom State Police Command, where he interacted with stakeholders across all spheres of life on how to better police in the state and reduce crime wave to the barest minimum.

He called on the good and peace loving people of Akwa Ibom State to cooperate with the police by giving timely information in line with the citizen driven community policing policy to make the society safe and secured.
