Pain, passion, purpose, power: The 4 steps to success in business By ARDREA OKOYE

How about asking you what has caused you the greatest pain in your business, what would you say? I speak to countless business owners  and almost every one of them can tell me what  has caused them pain in business to the extent of trying to give up.  Those that cannot cope said it’s frustration from unavailability of power , lack of funds etc  do  not allowed them to thrive  or continue in a particular kind of business .

For many, the source of pain is hidden in a dark place, at the corner of their heart, , the fear  of starting and failing .  They are already afraid  of trying and not succeeding. I tell you,  unless  you have discovered what I refer to as the “Path to Success ” if not you cannot come out of that she’ll of fear .

As an entreprenuership writer I have researched  and spent  much time studying the processes and behaviors that leads  to excellence and  have also studied failure . Through my research and observation, I believe that we can only tap into our greatest power when we acknowledge our greatest source of pain. From pain, gain comes. In doing so, a rippling affect can occur that leads you  to power. That sounds a little absurd right? Have you ever seen red  oil stain on a new naira note ?

Allow me to rephrase the question. Have you ever seen red  oil stain on an old naira  note ? Of course, we all have seen it , even  dirtier naira notes.

There is great power in the above example .

Your ability to thrive  is what gives you strength to hold on.. Your source of pain is the reason why you must not give up and  .You have to prove a statement right, that pain is path to Success.. We all have a leak. I don’t care what anyone says, every face has a story and every story has a source of pain.

It is no secret that my source of pain is rooted in feelings unsatisfied because of poor sales recently,  as a brand partner  and witnessing low gross domestic products in business generally . You see sometimes our sources of pain are things that happen outside of our control and sometimes our sources of pain are self-inflicted , self inflicted when you do not put much efforts towards growth of your business.

No one source weighs more heavy than the other, they all hurt. This is why we can never tell that what entreprenuers or business owners have been passing  through is so hurtful enough  and believe they will  get over it soon.

However, we must find a way to stop the drip so that we can tap into the most powerful versions of ourselves and face all the hurdles in Business positively.

Discovering that pain, acknowledging it, calling it by name and recognizing when your actions are driven by it is indeed powerful. There is so much strength in this step.

After discovering that pain, it is a natural progression to become passionate about doing something about it. This is where we must be careful. We must ensure that our passion is channeled towards making a difference and positive impact in the world of business.. We often make  mistake or revenge for our past actions. This will never lead to prosperity. The only actions that propel you to move  forward are those rooted positively impacting , inspiration in  the lives of others.

How do you do your best to help   revamp business in your capacity ? That is your driven  purpose for business growth . It is not about what will make you the most money although the world would have  you  believe  as a business coach, business writer, influencer, business owner , reach out and help someone struggling with growth, connection, networking so as hellp keep them on  check and on track as well for new possible horizons.  When you as an individual ,as a business coach or as a business owner makes your your actions the most   impactful,   that of course  will be  the only way to discover your purpose and that of other

All in all, pain , passion, Purpose are  the four most  helpful   steps that we must take towards our paths to  success in business.
