The Palestine Ambassador to Nigeria, Abdullah M. Abu Shawesh, has called for immediate action to address the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
Ambassador Shawesh in a statement on Saturday, strongly condemned the Israeli government’s actions, which he described as “mass murder, wound, maim, starve, wanton destruction, displace, and dispossess Palestinian civilians in a vengeful and lethal campaign of televised genocide.”
“342 days on, various Israeli army forces, under the direct command of political and military leaders, with full support and open complicity of the USA, continue to mass murder, wound, maim, starve, wanton destruction, displace, and dispossess Palestinian civilians in a vengeful and lethal campaign of televised genocide”, he said.
The ambassador cited statistics revealing the tragic reality of the situation, including the death toll of 41,000, 95,000 wounded, and 10,000 still missing.
He also mentioned the arrest and kidnapping of 10,400 Palestinians, who are subjected to severe forms of ill-treatment, torture, and medical neglect.
Ambassador Shawesh called on the international community to take immediate action to stop the Israeli aggression and support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. He also urged Nigerians to join in the call to action and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
“The Palestinian people demand an end to the occupation, equal rights, and justice. We will not rest until these demands are met,” he said.
