Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, joined the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, and other Service Chiefs at the Armed Forces Celebration & Remembrance Day (AFCRD) 2026 Social Night for Soldiers, Ratings, Airmen and Airwomen, held at Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.
The event featured colourful cultural displays and electrifying performances by popular Nigerian music artistes, including Magnito and 2Face Idibia, providing entertainment for personnel across the Services.
The Social Night was organised to honour the gallantry, sacrifices and unwavering commitment of soldiers and their families in the defence of the nation, while boosting morale and fostering unity among members of the Armed Forces.
