… arrests 20-year old man for raping step sister, 6; one other 8-year old

A 33-year old man, Ali Nuhu, has been arrested by the Police in Bauchi State for allegedly raping his teenage niece in Toro Local Government Area of the State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakili, disclosed this in a media statement made available to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday.
He said the Toro Divisional Police Headquarters received a complain from one Ahmed Nuhu, that his elder brother reportedly raped his 15-year old niece who lives with him (the suspect).
The four suspects arrested for gang raping teenagerHe added that the complainant said that his elder brother, had raped his fatherless niece three different times.
“On 24th July, 2020 about 4.30pm, one Ahmed Nuhu (27) Male of Rahama ward Gumau Toro L.G.A Bauchi reported at Police Station Toro that sometimes this year, his late brother’s daughter one Khadija Bashir, (15) who is under the custody of his brother one Ali Nuhu, (33) of same address was sexually abused by the said Ali Nuhu.
“He added that the said Ali had sexual intercourse with her on three different occasions in his room,” he disclosed.
He said that the case has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.
Wakili, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, also disclosed that one Umar Ibrahim (20) lured an eight year old girl to a Primary school in Ningi, Ningi local government area of Bauchi State and raped her.
He said that the father of the victim reported the incident to the Police who immediately swung into action and arrested the suspect.
According to him, during preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to have also raped his step sister, a six year old.
He said: “On 26th July, 2020 at about 5pm, one Abubakar Ibrahim, Male, who resides behind Manu Primary School Ningi, went to the Police Station Ningi and reported that on same date, at about 10.00am one Umar Ibrahim, (20), Male of the same address, took his daughter, one Ummu Salma Abubakar, (8) to one of the classrooms of the said Manu Primary School and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
“Upon receipt of the report, a Team of Policemen were drafted to the scene. The victim was rushed to General Hospital Ningi for examination while the suspect was arrested.
“During preliminary investigation, the suspect also confessed to have had sexual intercourse with one Fatima, (6) Female, who is his step sister.”
He said that the case has been transferred to the SCID for discreet investigation.
Similarly, the Police Spokesman disclosed that, four suspects were arrested for gang raping a teenager in Bauchi.
He said that one Kabiru Saleh, a 25-year old, lured his 15-year old victim into his room and he and his friends rape her one after the other.
Wakili, a Deputy Superintendent of Police said: On 16th April, 2020 about 8.00pm, one Kabiru Saleh, (25), Male of Yelwa Makaranta, and three others criminally conspired and abducted one Kadijat Usman, (15) into his (Kabiru Saleh’s) room situated at Yelwa Makaranta Bauchi and forcefully had sexual inter-course with her one after the other.
“The four suspects Kabiru Saleh, (25), Male, Abubakar Mohammed, (27), Abdullahi Abdullahi, (28), Male and Christopher Luka, (26), Male, all of Yelwa Makaranta Bauchi, were arrested in connection with the case.”
He said that investigation was still ongoing.
Furthermore, the Police Spokesman said that another suspect, Muhammed Muhktar (25), Male met a nine year old girl in the bush and forcefully raped her.
According to him, the suspect was arrested and is helping the Police in its Investigation.
“On 19th July, 2020 at about 12.10pm, information was received from Sansan village in Gamawa LGA, that one Muhammed Muktar, (25) Male, a resident of the village met one Lari Damina, (9), Female, of the same address in the bush and forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge with her.
“Upon receipt of the information, a Team of Policemen was despatched to the scene and the victim was taken to General Hospital Gamawa for Medical examination.”
He added that the suspect was arrested and the case transferred to the SCID for discreet investigation.
Wakili said that on 16th July, 2020 at about 6.00pm, peace and security committee members attached to Unguwar Hardo, Bauchi, brought one Saleh Hassan, (29) Male to the Township Police Station that on the same date at about 2.15pm, “he lured one Mariya Ummi Sale, (5) of same address to his room and had carnal knowledge of her.”
He said that as result she sustained serious injury in her private part adding that the suspect was arrested and investigation is in progress.
