Police arrest fake doctor over death of patient in Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a suspected fake medical doctor who injected procaine into an adult leading to his sudden death.
The fake doctor named Isa Usman, ‘m’ 35yrs operating at Iyayi Village, Kadarko district of Keana LGA, was arrested for allegedly procuring and administering Procaine Injection on one Zaki Yaka Ajohol, which led to his death.
Police statement said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect whose level of education is primary school leaving certificate hails from Pindi village, Akko LGA of Gombe State and claimed to have been trained at Asibitin Yusuf in Agyaragu, Obi LGA of the State
A statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in the state, DSP Ranham Nansel, said the suspect confessed to have for the past three days procured and was administering procaine injection on his victim to treat typhoid.
“On the fourth day, he administered the same dose of injection which made the victim fell immediately after and became unconscious. He was rushed to primary health care at Akeleku where he was confirmed dead. Consequently, some drugs and other medical implements were recovered from the suspect as exhibit”
“The Commissioner of Police Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the transfer of the case to State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for further investigation and prosecution” the statement said.
