Police arrest female armed bandit with live ammunition in Benue

A female armed bandit confirmed to be an associate of the dreaded and vicious armed bandit kingpin known as Ukum Dekera a.k.a, Chen has been arrested by men of Operation Zenda, a Joint Task Force in the Nigeria Police Force, Benue State Command.

NATIONAL ACCORD learnt that the joint task force headed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Felix Arumun Nomiyugh arrested the female armed bandit, one Faith Torkule, 37-years of age at Gbagir village in Tyuruv ward of Ukum LGA of the state along Wukari-Zaki Biam road at Ayati junction with two hundred (200) live Ammunition of purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and 117 rounds of 7.62mm Ammunition.

The terrorists were said to have been terrorising the areas around Ukum, Joortar, Wukari and other adjoining villages in the local area.

It was confirmed that Ukum, Wukari in Benue and Taraba states have particularly, been under the pangs bandits for years now and in spite of the joint security operations in the area, respite is yet to be restored.

But the state commander of Operation Zenda, Felix Nomiyugh who reiterated commitment to reduce crime to it minimal however, declined comments on the incidence, when contacted.
