Paris Saint‑Germain hammered Chelsea 5‑2 in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.
PSG started fast. In the 10th minute, Bradley Barcola slotted home from inside the box to put the hosts ahead.
Chelsea fought back and drew level in the 28th minute. Malo Gusto finished neatly after some quick passing down the right.
Just before halftime, PSG grabbed the lead again. Ousmane Dembélé turned inside the box and fired past the keeper. Chelsea came back once more early in the second half, with Enzo Fernández nodding home in the 57th minute to make it 2‑2.
After that, PSG took over. In the 74th minute, Vitinha pounced on a sloppy back pass and lobbed the goalkeeper.
Then Khvicha Kvaratskhelia took charge late, curling one in the 86th minute and adding another in stoppage time (90+4′) to make it 5‑2.
The game was fast and end-to-end. PSG’s attack kept pressing, Chelsea looked stretched, and the finishing from the French side after the hour mark made all the difference. With this win, PSG heads to London in control, and Chelsea faces a steep challenge if they want to turn the tie around.
