The Federal Commissioner of Public Complaints Commission (PCC) , Borno State, Hon. Yusuf Adamu has said about 4,000 cases out of the 6000 cases he inherited since his assumption of office have been resolved by the commission under his watch
Adamu who revealed this on Wednesday in an interactive session with journalists in his office said, “As I am speaking to you now, we have only 2,000 cases pending”.
” Our job is checkmating all administrative injustices and we operate within the rules and regulations that established the commission to resolve all disputes. We have also been working closely with the EFCC and ICPC because we refer some of the cases outside our jurisdiction to them,” Adamu said.
According to him, some of the cases are being referred to our offices in Kaduna and Lagos, as well as to our headquarters in Abuja, stressing that any case that needs to be referred to courts of law are referred to them .
He further said that they also work in close collaboration with the police, DSS and other relevant authorities as part of its mandate in resolving grievances, disputes and complaints from the public, especially, civil servants.
The Commissioner further noted that since his assumption of office, a lot of cases have been resolved Including all pending projects before moving into the new office.
He pointed out that having known the calibre of his predecessors such as Late Musa Dagash, Ibrahim Biu and DanBuran Jada, he had no choice than to work hard and maintain the standard they established while in office.
He added that with his experience as former staff of Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC), former Chairman of Biu Local Government Area and one time ANPP State Party Secretary as well as Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettiman, he was able to transform the commission including improvement on the office structures and staff welfare among others.
