
Rt. Hon. Ahmed Usman Jaha during a condolence visit

Member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Usman Jaha, visited Chibok town to condole with families of those who lost their lives in the recent flood disaster.
The flood occurred while they were returning to Maiduguri after attending the burial of their patriarch, late Hon. Dauda Pona. Ten lives were lost, including two of Pona’s sons, a daughter, and a grandchild.
While consoling the families and relations, the lawmaker commended the Good Samaritans, especially the youths who recovered the victims’ remains.
He then proceeded to Damboa Local Government Area to condole with the family of one of the rescuers who lost his life during the rescue efforts.
Rep. Jaha prayed for the souls of the deceased and offered financial support to cushion the immediate hardships of the affected communities.
Before visiting Chibok and Damboa, he distributed food and non-food items to over 2,000 vulnerable people in Gwoza and other communities in his constituency.
