Seasoned businessman, corporate guru and philanthropist, Ichie (Dr.) Nnaeto Orazulike bags OON

Lagos, October 12, 2022 – A foremost Pan-African business magnate  and social entreprenuer, Ichie (Dr) Nnaeto Orazulike has been conferred with a national honour in the rank of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the president, Muhammadu Buhari at the 2022 National Honours Award investiture ceremony which held yesterday in Abuja.

The honour is in recognition of Ichie Orazulike’s selfless service to humanity and contributions to the growth of the country. Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. President listed the criteria as consistent and meaninful participation in community and/or national development. He also listed remarkable achievement in any field of expertise where the person’s activities in that field has made significant contributions to the attainment of national goals and objectives.

Ichie Orazulike who is a Non-Executive Director of Ecobank Nigeria having been appionted in April 2022, is the founder and Group Managing Director of Genesis Group, a proudly Nigerian conglomerate with interests in Restaurants, Cinemas, Hotels, food production and Oil and Gas services and propuction.

He is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and an alumnus of Havard Business School Executive Training Program. 

He was awarded the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Port Harcourt in 2015. In 2021, he won the Nagerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) 60- anniversary awards for his examplary role in the entertainment and hospitality sector. He has won many awards at national and state levels.
