Sokoto APC transition c’tte organizes prayers for incoming govt

A cross section of Muslim faithful, who gathered at Senator Wamakko's house to offer Special prayers for the successes of incoming APC administration in Sokoto.

Sokoto State All Progressive Congress (APC) transition committee has organized a special prayers to seek Allah’s guidance for the incoming administration of the governor-elect, Alhaji Ahmad Sokoto and his deputy, Alhaji Idris Gobir.

Speaking on the essence of the prayers, the state party leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, said it was aimed at seeking Allah’s assistance for the success of the incoming administration’s both in the state and the Federal Government.

Senator Wamakko commended the Chief Imams of various Jumu’at Mosques, Islamic scholars and many stakeholders across the State for their continuous supports and fervent prayers for the country and APC leadership.

A statement by Bashar Abubakar, media aide to Senator Wamakko, said the prayer session, which was coordinated by Mallam Bashir Gidan Kanawa and conducted by 13 Islamic scholars, was held at the Tinubu Hall, Gawon Nama Area, Sokoto on Friday.

Prominent among them in attendance were the Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Jumu’at Mosque, Imam Malami Akwara, Sarkin Mallaman Sokoto, Mallam Yahaya Na Malam Boyi, Alkalin Mallaman Sokoto, Mallam Umar Ahmad Helele and Mallam Bello Kofa.

Other scholars included, Sheikh Abdul’aziz Kofar Rini, Sheikh Yahuza Shehu Tambuwal, Mallam Yusuf Labbo and Mallam Nafiu Malami Dan Haja, among others.

The prayer session was attended by the Governor -in – waiting, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, his deputy, Alh. Idris Mohammed Gobir, former Deputy Governor, Alh. Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo, two former Ambassadors, Abubakar Shehu Wurno and Sahabi Isah Gada

Others were, APC bigwig in the State, Alhaji. Umarun kwabo AA, Hon. Bala Hassan Abubakar, Member – elect, House of Representatives, Sokoto North and South Federal Constituency, politicians and business tycoons, among others.
