
Super Falcons of Nigeria

Super Falcons are gearing up for the 13th Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with Head Coach Justine Madugu naming a 24-player squad for the tournament.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forwards Francisca Ordega and Asisat Oshoala are among the players selected for the team’s quest for a 10th continental title.
The squad, which includes experienced players like veteran defender Osinachi Ohale and midfielders Deborah Abiodun, Jennifer Echegini, and Christy Ucheibe, will commence training in Abuja before heading to Lisbon, Portugal for their final preparations.
“We are excited to announce our squad for the 2025 WAFCON,” Madugu said.
“We have a talented group of players who are ready to represent Nigeria and make us proud.”
The Super Falcons will play in Group B, facing Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in the tournament, which runs from July 5 to July 26 in Morocco. Before the tournament, the team will play friendly matches against Portugal and Ghana to fine-tune their skills.
