President Bola Tinubu has vowed to ensure that enemies of peace do not prevail in Nigeria, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to investing in peace across the country.
Tinubu made this declaration during a visit to Benue State, where he commiserated with the people over the recent attack on the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area.

The attack, which occurred on June 13, resulted in the deaths of over 200 people, with scores injured and properties destroyed.
Tinubu stressed the need for unity, sincere leadership, and actionable peace strategies to defeat the enemies of peace.
“We will not allow the enemies of peace to prevail,” Tinubu declared.
“I want you to know that you have my full support, and together, we will bring prosperity back to Benue.”

The President urged Governor Hyacinth Alia to work hard and restore peace in the state, saying, “All politics is local; not everyone will like you. Some did the same to me too, but I am the President.”
He urged the people of Benue to work with their governor to achieve peace, emphasizing that the governor needs their help.
Tinubu also tasked security agencies to always listen to the people and keep their ears on the ground to get tangible information to prevent future occurrences.
“We must listen to our people, keep our ears to the ground, and respond with tangible intelligence to prevent future attacks,” he advised.
The President assured the people of Benue that his administration is committed to delivering programs that change lives and secure futures.
“As leaders, we must carry the people in our hearts. Only then can we deliver programmes that change lives and secure futures,” he said.
