Transport owners urge FG to constitute committee on hoodlums attack on Yobe trailers

Chairman of the National Transport Owners Potiskum chapter, Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Alele, has called on the federal government to constitute a committee of inquiry to ascertain the depth of damages caused by hoodlums in the southern part of the country.

Alhaji Garba  who was spoke to newsmen in Potiskum on the recent happenings in the country that in Aba , traliers belonging to the people of Yobe state were burnt beyond recognition leaving many businesses crippled.

Apart from losing millions of naira to the hoodlums the association he explained yet to establish contacts with many drivers. some were dead, bodies recovered, while some were traumatised..

Alhaji Abdullahi  however commended he efforts of the Rivers state Governor Nyeson Wike for his courage in restoring normalcy in his domain and security for the non indigenes residing in Rivers state..

It would be recalled that the #ednsars, peaceful protest meant to bring an end to police brutality was hijacked by misguided youths causing mayhem to many unsuspecting commuters across the southern part of the country.

The chairman further noted that  the association was compiling all the loses incurred to the violent incident for onward submission to the Yobe state government  for Compensation’s from the authorities concern.
