Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has been described as a servant-leader whose leadership style has strengthened the governance capacity of political appointees in the state.
The immediate past Commissioner for Public Works and Infrastructure, Arc. Ibrahim Hamza, made the remark in a statement issued on Monday following his resignation from the State Executive Council.
Hamza said his decision to step down was driven by his resolve to pursue a new path of service through an elective position at the national level, noting that the move was taken after careful consideration.
He expressed deep appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve, describing his time in office as a period of learning and growth.
“Serving under Governor Uba Sani has been like undergoing a school of leadership and service delivery,” he said.
The former commissioner, who described himself as a mentee of the governor, pledged to uphold and promote the values, ethics, and governance models he acquired during his tenure in any future role.
He noted that the governor provided him with the enabling environment to perform effectively, adding that his contributions were recognised as among the top-performing commissioners in 2024 and 2025.
Hamza further described his participation in the administration as both an honour and a privilege, commending the governor’s vision, dedication, and commitment to the development of Kaduna State.
He also appreciated members of the State Executive Council for their cooperation and shared commitment to public service, noting that the relationships and experiences gained would remain invaluable.
