Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Maiduguri, Borno State, en route to Lagos, after representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in paying the Federal Government’s condolences to victims of the tragic incidents that happened in the state.
Senator Shettima also observed the Eid al-Fitr prayers marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Vice President, on the directive of President Tinubu, called on the families and communities affected by recent tragic incidents, conveying the Federal Government’s deepest sympathies, solidarity, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and security of all citizens of Borno State and the Northeast.
He also joined thousands of Muslim faithful at Ramat Square, Maiduguri, for the Eid al-Fitr congregation, in the company of Governor Babagana Zulum, the Deputy Governor, and other federal and state government officials.
