2023: I’ll create more jobs in C’River through tax incentives – Sen Enoh

PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –

One of the governorship aspirants of the All Progressive Congress ( APC), in Cross River State, Senator John Enoh has promised to run an open, transparent, inclusive and accountable administration if given the party’s governorship ticket and elected.

Senator Owan also pledged to encourage existing companies in the state to create more jobs through tax incentives that would enable them to expand their businesses.

The lawmaker made the pledge on Wednesday in Calabar, shortly after declaring his intentions to take over from Governor Ben Ayade come 2023.

In his words: “If you elect me as your candidate and by the grace of God, I become Governor, I intend to run an open and transparent administration”.

“I will bring our educational needs to the forefront, of public concern through a deliberate policy roadmap, on improving infrastructure of our schools, equipping school libraries and engaging in capacity building of our teachers”, he said.

He added that “under my leadership, the state government will introduce artisan programme, hospitality training scheme, technical training scheme, and farm support scheme to improve the earning potential of the people”.

“For the artisan training scheme we shall target to train 5,000 youth annually which is aimed at leveraging on governor Ben Ayade’s industrialization policy”, the governorship aspirant said.
