Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal

Following calls from diverse quarters asking Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to join the race for 2023 presidency, the governor has declared that he will begin consultations across the length and breath of the country to the end of February before taking any position.
Governor Tambuwal who spoke during an interview after commissioning the new headquarter office of the Sokoto State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he has heard all the appeals by elders, women, youths and party scribes, assuring to inform them of his decision after consultations.
“I have listen to all the appeals amd calls by our elders, women, youths and party faithfuls urging me to contest 2023 Presidency, all I can say for now in response to their appeals is that I will begin consultations from February to the end of the month”.
Governor Tambuwal, who noted that leadership comes from God, added however that he will forever continue to appreciate the people of the State and the entire Nigerians for their continued support.
In their earlier calls, Sokoto women had threatened to approach the court to compel Governor Tambuwal to contest should he declined to accept their plea.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Sokoto State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Professor Aisha Madawaki emphatically said Tambuwal is not just a leader but a tested and trusted one that has the capacity and competence to pilot the affairs of this great country.
Prof Madawaki who said their resolutions was a product of due consultations with other women across the country which clearly showed that Tambuwal is the best option for Nigeria and Nigerians judging by his unifying pedigree, added they will stop at nothing to ensure that he heed to their calls
One of the State’s top-notch politician, Umarun Kwobo (Jarman Sokoto) said Aminu Waziri Tambuwal is a politician worthy of emulation because of his numerous cherished characteristics.amd track records of successes.
He therefore admitted that they passionately called on Tambuwal to once again accept their collective calls to vie for Presidency of Nigeria come 2023.
“All we need from you is to accept our calls. Marketing your personality is an easy task for us hence you have been tested and trusted.
“Many Nigerians have been calling to ask us when will Tambuwal declare his intention to run for the presidency of this great country?
“Majority of our friends from across all divides in Nigeria kept telling us to pressurize Tambuwal to throw his hat into the ring and leave them with the job of mobilising Nigerians.
“They kept saying, Tambuwal has been tested, performed beyond expectations, trusted without questions and ever committed to a unified, progressive Nigeria for all where equity, justice, love and all inclusive policies remained the order of the day.
“We are confident by their calls hence we can all attest to how Tambuwal united Nigerians very well as the Speaker of the 7th National Assembly” Jarman Sokoto said
Speaking on behalf of the Sokoto Elders Forum, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Bawan Allah and Alhaji Sahabi Tungar Kwangi, said its their collective decision having seen the multiple successes of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal both in Sokoto and beyond.
