
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has concluded its primary elections for the 2026 Federal Capital Territory Area Council chairmanship elections, producing winners across all six area councils in a transparent and rancor-free process.
The party’s Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Chris Hassan, declared the elections free, fair, and smooth.
According to Hassan, the elections were conducted in line with the party’s ideals.
“I want to gladly announce to you that the elections were rancor-free and went smoothly in line with the ideals of our party,” he said.
Hassan also expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2026 elections, stating, “It is our desire that all aspirants and candidates will work towards the success of the elections come 2026.”
The winners of the primaries include Zacharia Danlami in Kuje Area Council, Musa Biliyanmu in Abaji Area Council, Zadna Dintani in Abuja Municipal Area Council, Kasim Mohammed in Gwagwalada Area Council, Haruna Mohammed in Kwali Area Council, and Julius Adamu in Bwari Area Council.
