2027 election: Tiv community in Bauchi urges voters to elect Wuntu for governor

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Bauchi State voters have been urged to get their permanent voter cards (PVC) ready to elect Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti as Bauchi state Governor.

The President of the Tiv Community in Bauchi State, Wan-Chiviliigh John Akevi, disclosed shortly after the executive council’s meeting at Zaranda Hotel, Bauchi.

Mr. Akevi said the community believed that Dr. Wunti, a high level practical technocrat will advance the socio- economic,infrastructural and human development of the state.

He described Dr. Wunti as an experienced technocrat with great ideas and capabilities of translating them for the common good even for those in typical rural environment,

In his words: “we appeal to all eligible voters, stakeholders, elders, the youth and women to massively vote this worthy dependable Bauchi son of the soil Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti.”

Prince Akevi cited Wunti’s exemplary leadership history and commitment to community development,which dates over 20 years and present humanitarian gestures, which stand him out as a people oriented leader if given the mandate”.

It will be recalled that Dr. Wunti, recently resigned his appointment at Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited as the head of NAPIMS, having served Nigeria and NNPC for 34 years.

Wunti, according to Prince Akevi has earned enviable reputation for his integrity, dedication, and impactful leadership, as his tenure at the NNPC. He therefore charged Bauchi voters to make informed choices based on individual previous performance record.
