Katsina State Football Association Chairman, Aminu Balele Kurfi, on Monday visited injured Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar in Spain where he is currently recuperating.
The renowned football administrator, during the visit, advised Umar to remain focused as he recovers from injury.
Kurfi, a former Special Adviser on Sports to Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, noted that the Real Sociedad of Spain striker is a very disciplined professional footballer and football family in Nigeria and the world is praying for his quick recovery.
“We thank Almighty Allah for giving us the opportunity to visit our dear beloved brother, a good samaritian, someone who believes in the course of his nation, Nigeria.
“The whole football family in Nigeria, we are all praying for his quick recovery. His fans all over the world are also praying for his quick recovery by God’s grace, amen,”
Kurfi said.Umar had a successful surgery for his ruptured anterior cruciate ligament last week and is expected to fully recover between seven – nine months.
