The United Nations Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (UN-POPOLAC), has appointed Dr. Jimmy Ajim as a Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace.
Dr. Ajim, who is also the President of Ior Gboko Foundation (IGF), was recently appointed by the Governor of Benue State, Father Hyacinth Alia, as the Director-General, Plenipotentiary and Liaison Affairs.
His Appointment/Award and Investiture were conveyed to him in a letter dated 25th January 2025.
According to the letter, the nomination of Dr. Ajim by Board of Trustees, the Secretariat and the International Advisory council of UN-PEPOLAC, in recognition of his “contribution to peaceful living at the community, societal and professional levels,” his efforts towards “human capital development” and his “solidarity to global peace” in line with the tenets of the UN-PEOPLAC.

The investiture was administered by the International Coordinator, H.E. Amb. Rt. Rev. Dr. Festus Ozioma Ozoemena, Commander, Royal Order International Statesman, New York, USA, at the Nigeria Merit House Abuja on Thursday.


Among other benefits, the appointment provides Dr. Ajim a wonderful opportunity to better his environment and community positively as a peace maker. According to Ajim’s appointment letter, when he keeps to the tenets and ideals of the United Nations/UNESCO, the position of Distinguished Ambassador for World Peace provided him opportunities to advance his course in life career and business
