The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is set to host the public launch of a book titled: ‘Taxation: Essential Knowledge for Nigerian Children’.
The presentation forms part of the activities planned to mark the 2025 Children’s Day celebrations.
The event director, Mr Jerry Adesanwo, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.
Mr. Adesanwo said the public launch of the educational book will take place on Tuesday May 27 in Abuja and will be co-hosted by Arojah Concepts and Sprezzatura Publishing Ltd.

He explained that the book is designed as a straightforward guide to taxation for secondary school students.
“It was authored by Arabinrin Aderonke Ejura Blessing Haruna and edited by Dr M.S. Abubakar.
“The book aims to introduce Nigerian children to basic taxation concepts, fostering financial literacy and civic responsibility from an early age”.
Adesanwo stated that the Chairman of FIRS, Dr Zacch Adedeji, will serve as Chief Host, while the Vice President of Nigeria, Sen. Kashim Shettima, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries expected to attend include Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army,Sen. Abdulaziz Yar’adua; former Minister of the FCT, Dr Aliyu Modibbo; and a member of the House of Representatives, Mr Abdulmumin Jibrin among others.
The event will feature book reviews, readings by participating schools, as well as fun games and dance dramas.
He noted the occasion as an important step towards promoting tax education among young Nigerians, thereby laying the foundation for a more responsible and informed citizenry.
