Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is urging the international community to take concrete actions against Russia following a massive wave of air attacks on Ukrainian cities.
“Today is one of the largest attacks on Kiev. Odesa, Dnipro region, and Chernihiv region were also targeted,” Zelensky wrote on X, emphasizing that these airstrikes have undermined efforts towards peace.
Zelensky called on the US, Europe, and other global leaders to act decisively, saying, “The response to such Russian attacks must not be silence.”
The attacks have left destruction and casualties in their wake, with fires burning in the capital and several buildings destroyed.
In Odesa, two people were killed and at least 10 others injured after a drone strike.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 315 drones and drone dummies, two North Korean ballistic missiles, and five cruise missiles, with 284 targets destroyed, including all missiles and cruise missiles.
Meanwhile, Russia claimed to have shot down 102 Ukrainian drones over several territories, including Crimea.
As the conflict rages on, Zelensky’s plea for international pressure on Russia highlights the urgent need for a unified response to address the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis.
The situation remains volatile, with both sides exchanging blame and neither showing signs of backing down.
