Vice President Kashim Shettima announced that Nigeria is undergoing a silent but bold transformation under President Bola Tinubu led administration.
Speaking at the Nigeria-Brazil Business Forum in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the renewed strategic alliance with Brazil, describing it as “grounded in intent and rich in potential for mutual growth”.
The transformation, according to Shettima, involves opening up markets, rebuilding institutions, and refocusing policies.
He noted that Nigeria is embarking on a journey similar to Brazil’s, particularly in agriculture and energy.
“Our Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones are taking form. Our farmers are ready to operate at scale,” he stated.
Shettima expressed interest in collaborating with Brazil in areas such as clean energy, skills development, and investment.
He welcomed opportunities for institutional partnerships that promote training, research, and knowledge exchange.
The Vice President of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin, reaffirmed Brazil’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Nigeria through long-term cooperation and mutual economic growth.
The Nigeria-Brazil Business Forum marked a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between the two countries and driving growth and development in key sectors.
