President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing reforms that enhance the ease of doing business, expand critical infrastructure, and stimulate sustainable growth in the real sectors of the economy.
This assurance was made during the 65th Annual General Meeting/Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) held in Ilorin.
Represented by the Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Senator John Eno, Tinubu emphasized the importance of a market-driven and private sector-led economy.
“My administration is committed to creating an environment where businesses can confidently thrive,” he stated.
“We continue to prioritize reforms that enhance the ease of doing business, expand critical infrastructure, and stimulate sustainable growth in the real sectors.”
The President highlighted the significance of public-private partnerships in driving national prosperity.
“We firmly believe that a market-driven, private-sector-led economy, reinforced by strategic public-private partnerships, is the surest path to enduring national prosperity,” he added.
Tinubu urged the leadership of NACCIMA to forge strong partnerships with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, as well as other economic institutions, to stimulate trade and attract investments into the country.
In his remarks, the Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to legal and policy reforms that support ease of doing business, enhance investment protection, and combat illicit financial flows.
“We are intentional about enhancing commerce and trade by improving our legal frameworks to address current economic realities,” he said, highlighting recent national policies such as the National Policy on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution and the National Policy on Justice.
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, represented by his deputy, Kayode Alabi, emphasized the need for stakeholders to leverage Nigeria’s population, human and natural resources, and demographic peculiarities to drive stronger economic growth, sustainable development, and shared prosperity.
He encouraged NACCIMA and other leading institutions to take full advantage of Kwara’s unique blend of infrastructure, investments, and cultural legacies.
The new NACCIMA President, Jani Ibrahim, expressed his commitment to introducing innovative reforms to reposition the chamber and make it an indispensable organization for economic prosperity.
Tinubu congratulated Ibrahim on his investiture, urging him to utilize his vision, networks, and experience to drive progress.
“I encourage you to bring your vision, networks, and experience to bear in this new chapter,” he said.
