VDM on Tuesday led a candle light procession for late Fish Magnet CEO in Awka, the Anambra State Capital

Popular social media influencer, Vincent Otse, aka Very Dark Man (VDM), has led a solemn candlelight procession in Awka on Tuesday to honor the memory of Mr. Ifesinachi Onyekere, the entrepreneur behind the popular fish farm, Fish Magnet.
Onyekere, a business coach, was tragically shot in his home on July 26 by unidentified assailants.
He was taken away in his car and later found dead.
Addressing the crowd, VDM stated the candlelight procession aimed to honor ‘Fish Magnet’ and raise awareness about the growing insecurity in Anambra and across Nigeria.
> “We are not here for politics; we are here to mourn.” VDM said.
The procession traversed major streets in Awka, stopping at the popular Arroma junction before ending at Onyekere’s residence in Okpuno.
VDM urged relevant stakeholders to urgently address the worsening security situation in Anambra.
Police involvement
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Command spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, noted the procession symbolized the collective demand for reduced killings in Anambra.
The police said they are actively investigating, having recovered the vehicle used in the crime and received valuable info from Onyekere’s family.
“We are here at the candlelight procession to ensure that no one’s rights are violated and to maintain order throughout the event.” He said.
