
Arsenal defeated Brighton 1- 0 at the American Express Stadium and moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League (EPL).
The only goal of the game came in the 9th minute through Bukayo Saka.
His shot took a small deflection before it went past the Brighton goalkeeper and into the net. That early goal gave Arsenal the advantage they needed.
Brighton had more possession for long periods and tried to find an equaliser.
They controlled about 60 percent of the ball while Arsenal had around 40 percent. Brighton also attempted 11 shots with 3 on target, while Arsenal had 7 shots and 2 on target.
Brighton won four corners and put pressure on Arsenal’s defence especially in the second half. Arsenal stayed compact and defended well. They picked up one yellow card while Brighton received four.
Manager Mikel Arteta made changes to control the midfield after going ahead. The substitutions helped the team hold the lead and keep a clean sheet.
The win takes Arsenal seven points clear at the top and strengthens their push for the title as the season moves deeper.
